Fun fact: for years, ESPN’s March madness intro montage included a clip of my friends and I decked out in Kansas gear with painted chests. We saw them lose to Arizona in Birmingham in late 90s.
My musical addition: My Day is Coming by Rivers Cuomo (off of his great Alone 2 album). He wrote it for the US men’s soccer team. It’s kind of a downbeat sports anthem, which is probably why I love it.
